Denia / Monte Pego Area

Monte Pego is a high quality urbanisation development of privately owned villas offering easy access to the nearby beaches and the historic town of Denia located on the Mediterranean coastline.The town was originally very popular with the Spanish pirates and has a castle overlooking the gently sloping sandy beaches and sea line. Denia is now a lively town offering a good mix of the traditional and modern way of Spanish life.There are numerous authentic bars,restaurants shops and cafes.Throughout the year there are numerous fiestas, parades and firework displays taking place in Denia and the adjacent towns and villages.

The seafront is home to a busy working harbour where fresh produce can be purchased within minutes of it being landed.The port also operates ferries to the Balaeric Islands of Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera.
The yellow sandy beaches are cleaned daily and lead down to the crystal clear blue sea.The area has been awarded more EU Blue Flags for clean/safe bathing than any other area.

For those interested in Shopping a new 135 million euro shopping centre is now open at Ondara which is an approximate 10 minute drive from the villa. Apart from a wide range of Spanish and English shops including C & A ,s there will be a cinema complex, bowling alley and numerous restaurants.

The El Vergal Safari Park is located about 5 minutes drive from the villa and makes an enjoyable day out for both young and old.

The resort of Benidorm is located about 30 minutes drive away and has a range of pleasure parks, water parks, shows, restaurants, shops, discos and night life.

GOLF-There are a number of golf courses within the area designed to test the skills and abilities of all players.

La Sella Golf Club-A 18 hole par 72 course located about 20 minutes drive away.

Javea Golf Club- A 9 hole par 72 course located about 15 minutes drive away.

Oliva Nova Golf Club- A 18 hole par 72 course located about 15 minutes drive away.

MOTORSPORT-The area is a popular base to enjoy a holiday whilst also visiting Valencia about one hours drive away to watch the Motorcycling Moto GP and World Superbkes.It is also proposed a Formula 1 Car GP is to be held on the streets of Valencia in August 2008.

OTHER ACTIVITIES - Other local activities available within the area include Fishing Sea/Freshwater, Go-Carting, Horse Riding, Sailing, Water Skiing, Snorkelling, Wind Surfing,Walking, Quad Biking,Walking and cycling.It is also possible during the winter months to go snow ski-ing in the ski resorts located about two hours drive away.
